WHO YOU ARE:
This role sits within the broader Teton Ridge Digital & Social Media team, but will primarily focus on social and digital content strategy, community building, and fan engagement for Pro Fantasy Rodeo. The position may also collaborate with other brands across the portfolio including Cowboy Channel, Rodeo Vegas, and additional Teton Ridge properties.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who is equal parts creator, strategist and community builder. The ideal candidate has a passion for sports, statistics, fantasy gaming, and rodeo, and understands how digital communities form around competition, predictions, and fandom.
This person should be comfortable experimenting with new formats, testing ideas on social platforms, and building an engaged fantasy sports community from the ground up. They will help translate rodeo performance, athlete stats, and storylines into compelling social content that drives participation, engagement, and growth for PFR.
The ideal candidate is fluent in social platforms, comfortable creating content in real time in a fast-paced environment, and excited to roll up their sleeves — from ideation and copywriting to shooting, editing, posting, and engaging directly with fans.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Social Strategy & Community Growth (PFR Focus)
- Lead the development and execution of social media strategy for Pro Fantasy Rodeo, with the goal of building an engaged fantasy sports community.
- Translate rodeo results, statistics, rankings, and storylines into compelling social content that fuels fan participation.
- Develop content formats that encourage prediction, debate, lineup building, and fan interaction around fantasy rodeo gameplay.
- Identify and test new social formats, creator collaborations, and community engagement tactics to grow the PFR audience.
- Engage directly with fans across platforms to foster conversation, competition, and community.
Content Creation & Production
- Capture and create social-first content including athlete interviews, stat-driven graphics, fantasy picks, recaps, and short-form video.
- Produce vertical short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) tied to fantasy gameplay, athlete performances, and weekly rodeo events.
Develop recurring content formats such as:- lineup picks
- fantasy rankings
- athlete spotlight breakdowns
- performance predictions
- Support real-time social coverage during rodeos and major events.
Cross-Brand Collaboration
- Collaborate with teams across Cowboy Channel, Rodeo Vegas, and other Teton Ridge properties to amplify fantasy storylines and integrate fantasy gameplay into broader rodeo content.
- Identify opportunities to connect broadcast moments, athlete performances, and rodeo results back to PFR gameplay.
Digital Content & Copywriting
- Write compelling social copy, captions, and digital content that encourages participation in fantasy gameplay.
- Contribute to digital marketing initiatives supporting PFR growth including newsletters, web content, and promotional campaigns.
Performance & Optimization
- Monitor content performance and fan engagement to continuously refine strategy.
- Track key metrics such as community growth, engagement, gameplay participation, and traffic to the fantasy platform.
- Use insights and analytics to inform future content experiments and audience growth strategies.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 2-5 years of professional experience in social media and/or digital content roles, preferably in sports, media, or entertainment.
Proven experience managing social platforms from strategy through execution for high-volume brands. - Strong copywriting and proofreading skills for social, web, and email.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (Sprout, Sprinklr, etc.) and proficiency across Meta Business Suite, TikTok for Business and YouTube Studio.
- Comfortable with basic content capture, editing, and production for social platforms.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop (or similar design tools) for modifying templates and graphics.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours, including some nights and weekends.
Creativity and teamwork is a must.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Strong understanding of Western sports, rodeo, and lifestyle culture.
- Passion for storytelling, fandom-building, and culturally relevant content.
- Familiarity with the social and digital media landscape, including emerging platforms and trends.
